Extract frames from video online – free & private
Need a still from a lecture recording, a product clip or a phone video? This Video to Image tool on MooneyCourses draws the current video frame to a canvas and exports a JPEG. Processing stays in your browser; the file is not uploaded to a MooneyCourses server for extraction.
How to use
- Upload – Choose or drop a video (up to about 500 MB). Formats depend on what your browser can play (often MP4, WebM; MOV on some systems).
- Play or pause – Use the player controls to find the moment you want.
- Snapshot – Capture one frame at the current time.
- Auto – While the video is playing, grab a frame every 0.5 seconds. Click again to stop.
- Download – Save individual frames or pack all into a ZIP.
Tips
- Seek carefully for sharp stills; motion blur is in the source, not the tool.
- Auto mode can produce many images on long clips — stop when you have enough.
- Large 4K files need more memory; close other tabs if capture is slow.
- Codec support varies by browser; if the video will not play, convert it elsewhere first.
Privacy
Frames are created with the HTML5 Canvas API from a local object URL. MooneyCourses does not receive your video for processing on this page. Keep originals if you need archival quality beyond JPEG export.
